Our athlete men's panels cover organ function (CMP), blood cell health (CBC), cholesterol, testosterone bundle (Total, Free & SHBG), and A1c. Advanced tiers add Iron & TIBC, Ferritin, Creatine Kinase (muscle damage), and Vitamin D. The Comprehensive tier adds Cortisol, Magnesium, and B12.
Creatine Kinase is an enzyme released when muscle cells are damaged. Chronically elevated CK in athletes can indicate overtraining, rhabdomyolysis risk, or poor recovery. Monitoring CK helps optimize training load.
Testosterone drives muscle protein synthesis, red blood cell production, and recovery speed. Low testosterone in male athletes is associated with poor performance, reduced muscle mass, and longer recovery times.
Yes — fasting 10–12 hours is recommended for accurate cholesterol and glucose readings. For best testosterone accuracy, schedule a morning draw (testosterone peaks 7–10 AM).
