If you have never had a blood draw at home before, you might be wondering what the process looks like. At Labs and Health, we have streamlined every step to make it as simple and stress-free as possible.

Step one is scheduling your appointment. You can book online through our website or call us directly. Choose a date and time that works for you, and let us know your address. If you have a lab order from your doctor, you can upload it during booking. If not, we can help you select the right panel based on your health goals.

Step two is preparation. Depending on the tests ordered, you may need to fast for 8 to 12 hours before your blood draw. We will send you clear instructions after booking so you know exactly what to expect. Drink plenty of water beforehand to make the draw easier.

Step three is the visit. Our certified phlebotomist arrives at your location at the scheduled time with all necessary supplies. The blood draw itself is quick, typically taking 5 to 10 minutes. We use single-use, sterile equipment and follow all safety protocols.

Step four is sample transport and processing. Your blood samples are placed in temperature-controlled containers and transported to our partner laboratory. Results are typically available within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the type of tests ordered.

Step five is reviewing your results. Once your results are ready, you can access them through your patient portal. While we provide the specimen collection service, we always recommend reviewing your results with your healthcare provider for proper interpretation and any follow-up care.
